Medical assessment for children with SEN – project beneficiaries
Costeluș is 10 years old, he doesn’t know the letters, he has great difficulties with pronunciation and he is one of the almost 500 children we work with in the project “We Invest in inclusive education!”.
Because we know how important early intervention is, with the support of the project’s specialists, he received his first comprehensive medical assessment, which is a first step towards a therapeutic approach in line with his developmental needs.
The visit to the specialists was Costeluș’ first visit to Iasi, although he lives less than 20 km from the city. And because last Saturday was his birthday, we celebrated it by treating him with a copious meal in a restaurant.
“Auntie, today was the best day of my life!” – was Costeluș’ reaction at the end of a long and beautiful day.
For us, these words are the real reward for our work!
Free speech therapy services for children with SEN
Within the educational centres, in the dedicated spaces set up in the schools involved in the project, with an open heart we cater to the needs of pupils with targeted services, we identify the children with great potential and we address their speech problems as quickly as possible, thus decreasing the risk of dropping out of school.

Health education lessons and dental care kits for pupils
Together with the COSMI DENT team – Cosmina Adăsăliței, Roxana Nastasa and Andra Caciuc, 70 students from the ,,Dimitrie Anghel” Cornești-Miroslava Secondary School learned how important dental hygiene is.
The pupils who were present received valuable information about the importance of oral health, the functions of teeth and their role, how to brush correctly and how to prevent and treat tooth decay. At the end of the lesson, students also received oral hygiene kits.
