For us, the people we work with are more than statistics, more than beneficiaries of the services we can offer. Each person we meet has a story to tell, has a baggage of experiences that is often too hard to carry. We often find ourselves in disbelief when we listen to the life stories of the people we work with. And just when we think nothing else can surprise us, we encounter yet another case that proves us wrong.
Behind the hardships, the injustices, the adversities, there are people! Often invisible to those around them, often ignored, deliberately left behind. The people we work with have a resilience in them and a power to start again that surprises us again and again.
And perhaps the people who surprise us the most are the MOMS. Strong MOMS, MOMS who have been through hard experiences but have not given up, MOMS who fight for their children and for whom the biggest dream is to see their children reach where they had no access.
And we love to celebrate such MOMs. We wanted to do more than what was outlined in the project, and to give some of the mothers we work with an experience to remember for the rest of their lives. With the help of our friends – Posh Beauty Salon, Alina Ionela Afrăsinei (make-up), our dear ladies went through a complete make-over session, culminating with a professional photo shoot by Tatiana Maximiciuc from Portretica, in a fairytale place: Ambio Events.
What turned out speaks for itself, and their smile is the biggest prize!
